The film also generated unnecessary and negative publicity due to a law suit over copyright violation. The issue was sorted out by Rakesh Roshan paying 2 crore Rupees to the producer. The movie was jinxed as it made a loss of 2 crore Rupees even before it was released.
Going by the past record and credentials of the promoters of Krazzy4 one would not be wrong to believe that this movie would be a great entertainer. The Roshans have been known for their high success rate in the Box Office due to the wholesome family entertainment they provided. Even the actors of Krazzy4 Arshad Warsi, Irfan Khan, Rajpal Yadav and Suresh Menon (who has a huge fan following on TV) are known for their comic flare.
Hence when all these people come together people would rightly expect Krazzy4 to be an extreme laugh riot. Well what do you think?

Krazzy4 is about 4 mentally challenged men who each have different mental disorders and are being treated by Dr.Suman (Juhi Chawala). Raja (Arshad Warsi) is an ex-cricketer who has serious anger management issues which caused the breakup between him and his love Shikha (Dia Mirza) and is thus being treated or his illness.
Dr. Mukherjee (Irfan Pathan) is a cleanliness freak. His obsession gets out of control and becomes a disorder. Gangadhar (Rajpal Yadav) suffers from split personality due to his research on the freedom struggle which causes him to think that he is a pre-independence freedom fighter. Dabboo (Suresh Menon) has an illness called selective mutation disorder which means that he can speak but no one, not even he knows when or where he will.
Thus he remains silent throughout the movie except to speak one word (kidnap) and a dialogue towards the end. Why he acts like a child is something the audience has to keep guessing at with no answer).
Dr. Suman thinks they’ve improved a lot and are now ready to face society. So going against the advice of her fellow colleagues she takes them out for a cricket match on Independence Day. However, on the way she stops at her house to get some papers and is kidnapped. Daboo witnesses the whole scene but remains mute due to his disorder and hence cannot tell anyone what he saw.
Despite the strict instructions not to get out of the car till she returns all four get out stating their own reason. Now we have 4 krazzy men out on the roads of the city. This is where the story supposedly takes off. Whether Krazzy4 is any good or not is something you’ll have to decide by watching the movie for yourself.
The plot is very funny but unfortunately it does not translate well on the big screen. Ashwani Dhir is a good dialogue writer but a bad screenplay and a bad movie have dented his credibility.
Director Jaideep who was truly happy on being given the chance to launch his career with FilmKraft got carried away and took on a terrible screenplay. He is a good director of emotional scenes and one hopes he gets another turn at direction after the debacle of Krazzy4.
If you g t watch Krazzy4 and sleep for the 1st 35 minutes of the film you would not have missed anything. It takes 35 minutes to get the first laugh from an audience, which having been subjected to all the hype, expect to go crazy with laughter from the very get go.
The only thing crazy you’ll find about Krazzy4 is you as you’ll probably be cursing yourself as to why you wasted you money. Trust me, treat yourself to some of your favourite food instead.
The 2nd half picks up slightly and is a bit better. However, at the end of the movie you’ll find yourself thanking God that the movie has ended. The only thing you’ll want to remember of the experience is the title tune and that thanks to Sharukh and Hritik.
One cannot figure out the motive behind making Krazzy4. Rakesh Roshan did not pay attention to the details and actors like Irfan Khan should be choosier of the roles they play and the movies they pick. With some luck FilmKraft may recover its cost of production and may even turn a little profit. This however would be only thanks to the item numbers featuring SRK, Hritik and Rakhi Sawant. These numbers are the only saving grace of Krazzy4 and also for the audience.
The music by Rajesh Roshan is good but steeped in bad publicity. The cinematography and locations are nothing to talk about.
Arshad Warsi plays an angry young man and though he plays his part well there’s nothing funny about his character. Irfan Khan has wasted his time with this one as he doesn’t have much of a role and the same goes for Suresh Menon.
They should’ve both stayed away from this project. Dia Mirza does alright in her role and Juhi Chawala who is always playing a ‘sweet lady’ is one again stuck with a similar role. One actor who never fails to get a laugh is Rajpal Yadav, but even he is not enough to save Krazzy4 from being a worthless fare.
Are you crazy? No. Good. Then don’t watch Krazzy4. It’s a waste of your money and your time and will leave you never wanting to watch another Roshan film again. So download the item numbers to yor mobile, ipod, PC, etc and watch DDLJ for the 1000th time.
